Latest Birding News - Updated 3rd September 2010

• August 2010 - unusual sighting of a rare Grey-headed Bush-shrike by one of our Guests near the Lodge! A report and photograph may be viewed at http://groups.google.co.za/group/sa-rarebirdnews - see the report dated 02 September 2010. Additional links below.

• November 2008 - the first southern-Africa sub-region sighting of the Angolan Bocagei sub-species of the Yellow-bellied Waxbill was recorded close to the Lodge!

• June 2008 - the first Cinderella Waxbill nest discovered in the wild, close to the Lodge! Five chicks since successfully fledged from the nest. High sighting success rates are now being achieved!

• Kunene River Lodge offers outstanding birding opportunities.
